Website EducateUS

EducateUS is building a movement of voters laser-focused on advancing progressive sex education policy and implementation across the country.

They are looking for young people between the ages of 16 and 22 to help make that happen! If you’re passionate about making sex education universally inclusive and accessible, wondering how to create change both in your local community and nationally, and/or looking for an opportunity to grow your leadership and collaboration skills, then you may be a great candidate for the Youth Advisory Board.

The Youth Advisory Board plays a key role in shaping our programs, generating new ideas, and bringing select projects to life. Some highlights of the YAB’s work include developing and launching a sex ed advocacy workshop for college students, creating resources to help school board candidates win elections, developing our approach to opposition research, and more. YAB members also gain valuable leadership and collaboration experience while guiding the work to make sex education universally accessible.

There are a few spots opening up on the YAB in September, and that’s where you come in! EducateUS is looking for 2-4 young people who can commit to approximately 5 hours per month (about 2 hours of which will be meetings, workshops and trainings) for at least one year. We will offer a stipend of $1000 per year to each Youth Advisory Board member, paid in quarterly installments ($250 at the end of each quarter). Young people from BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, disabled, neurodivergent, and other marginalized communities are strongly encouraged to apply.
